Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a storefront?
We do not have a storefront for our customers to visit. Our commercial kitchen only allows for production. For insurance and SHA reasons we do not offer tours or pick up at our location. We will fulfill your order by shipping it to you, delivering it to your doorstep (Regina & Lumsden, SK area) or setting it aside at 306BBQ in Lumsden, SK. You can select which works best for you upon checkout.
What is in your coffee?
We do not add anything to our roasts to achieve the flavours detailed under each roast. Depending on where the bean is from, weather, altitude, process and how it's roasted certain notes may be tasted (think of wine!). Whether you require vegan friendly, free of cows milk protein, nut-free, gluten free, etc. the only ingredient in our coffee is COFFEE BEANS!
The roast I like sold out, when is it coming back?
Ah, I KNOW! You get hooked on a roast, then we sell out. What a BUMMER.
Here's a long explanation. We do not believe in blending our beans. Blends typically have a bad reputation because some roasters do this to bring costs down and allow them to substitute a bean with another without customers realizing. If we ever blend, it's going to be purposeful and make sense not to reduce costs.
We keep all of our roasts single origin and believe in transparency. Every bag of coffee has beans from 1 farm. We believe this is the best and purest way to enjoy specialty coffee. We also pursue beans from small farms that may not produce every year. Further, since coffee is incredibly dependent on weather, more or less rain could result in a completely different flavour so we would either drop the bean all together or rebrand it. We do have a bean that is profiled and have been fairly consistent year after year which is nice to have some consistency. Our goal is to roast bean within 6 months of getting them. You can expect our rotation to be constant. This is great to experience something different every once and a while and get a new favourite.
How long is coffee good for?
With our roast to order policy, you are getting FRESH beans. But, what if you don't plan on consuming them right away? Technically, coffee doesn't go "bad" but it can and will go stale. Freshness wise, t is best to consume your beans within 6 months of roast date. But they won't hurt you if you go beyond. We do take pride in freshly roasted beans, so we'd love if you consume them right away. Unless you're not planning on brewing your beans within 6 months, you can throw them in your freezer. We don't recommend this for short term however.
How long does shipping/delivery take?
If we're shipping to you, unfortunately, it is out of our control how long shipping will take. Sometimes it's a quick turnaround and others not so much. If you need us to look into whether your parcel has been lost send us a note ASAP.
For doorstep deliveries in Regina and Lumsden, SK area, these will occur 1-7 business days upon ordering. Typically, you can expect your coffee to be delivered Tuesday-Thursday, but this can vary. Shoot us a message (639-590-5633) if you would like to know the next day we're doing doorstep deliveries.
Do you ship to the United States?
No. We ship within Canada only.
