Overlooking the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley in the RM of Lumsden, Saskatchewan, Travis and Alex Maas, began their specialty coffee roasting journey in 2020 with a home roaster and selection of green beans shortly after becoming parents. They quickly confirmed fresh, ethically sourced, craft roasted coffee is game-changing. Within months of starting business in 2021 and after roasting hundreds of pounds on their Behmor home roaster, they upgraded to a 3 kg Mill City Digital Control Roaster, began plans for a commercial kitchen and committed to a variety of beans for the upcoming year. With both feet in, they are dedicated to bring small-batch quality coffee. Starting as a side hussle, Alex has now pursued the business on a full time basis while Travis is still involved in developing new roasts and sourcing beans.
